First the camera issue. About a week ago Fuji put out a Firmware update – I like these because they always add something (sometimes including a menu alteration, arrrrgh). This time around it was a step up in focus tracking, cool. But then my focusing went to crap for a week – constant focus hesitations and not holdinb focus with zoom. Come to finde out, Fuji, at the same time, issued a lens firmware update for the very lens I’m using right now – needed to use that lens on an updated body. Lot of missed shots the last few times out……

The first First Friday of the year May. A little cold, and therefore a little slim on bands, etc., but I managed to get focused on a few things. A number of times before I’ve tried to get a shot of our Juggler – well, he moved to a ccentral corner where I could staqnd back, focus, and wait for a gap in people waling by between us… the intro shot.

I also managed to add this exposure to my collection of street-chess shots. This young lady simply had to get into her thinking position…

I picked up two exposures in the Drum Circle – April Monique dropped by at a busy moment with to do her bit, always a welcome sight – and the shot next to it is a dedicated young lady that spent a good deal of time at her drum. I noticed she would watch others and mimic their hand action. Cool.

Finally, a very energenetic young gentleman dancing to one of the street bands…
