Katie being Katie, Amy sings like an Opera Singer and Melissa takes a Break?…

Jun 22, 2024

This was the last of the major off-stage rehearsals – what a crowd in such a small space. I’m sort of the fly on the wall – most of the time nobody is conscious of my aiming a camera at them. This is actually my favorite way to work – I might as well be wearing an invisibility cloak. I do have a number of shots, but for the lack of requests from Rogue at this point (they are kinda busy) I’m free to work up three that stand out to me. The intro shot is Amy who pays a saxophone almost as big as she is, but also sings a little like an opera singer – I loved her duet with Jesse in their last big production… The Song that Goes Like This (from Spamalot).

Next is Katie being Katie. I squeesed aroung abainst the wall to get a wide angle shot from where the audience would be to get this one. That way I got her looking straight ahead. Big focus at rehearsal is on not getting trampled…

Here Melissa is on the floor, watching anothe part of the stage – myself not know whether this is her role at this point of if she is simply taking a break. Hard to tell right now…

While I enjoy the acton shots, rehearsal is a great opportunity to get those unposed portraits. They are full size in the Folio HERE…
