In the first shot here Sweeney (L.H. James) is angry at Lucy. the beggar woman (Amy). One of my favorites. I love the look on Amy’s face, quite formidable. The seccond shot below was taken at the darker end of the rehearsal room. Sweeney had the Judge (Brian, who is busy checking his script) in his chair and practicing his throat slitting. James never hesitates to completely take on a role from the very first. Good reason to keep the razor fake…
