I love the way they do “A Little Priest” a whole lot more than the movie – it’s more alive and gives the audience a very fun interlude. “A Little Priest gleefully compares the potential taste of those in various occupations. James and Katie, as Sweeney and Mrs Lovett, are believable here in their “joy”. In the opening shot here they are pracctically dancing. In the finale of the number they, at this point early in rehearsal, raise a toast in water bottles – which detracts nothing from the effect…
