Cast portraits are always an interesting challenge. Some prefer to use those from the previous big production, a few new faces or those looking for another try, and then there’s the difficult to catch up with group. Since these have to be taken during rehearsals, I generally have one to two minutes before they lose patience and want to get back to everyone else. 

As I finish them they get uploaded to a Fickr album (public) in a larger size than the normal web posting images, ready for download. April takes these and shrinks them down to about an inch and a half tall for the program – yep, all that for a miniature. I still try to do a pretty good job and post the results so these cast members, who work so hard, can have the larger version.

Three are here today – beginning with L.H. James as Sweeney. He’s using his photo from this year’s Vaudeville. Below, Katie as Mrs Lovett is also using her portrait from earlier this year. Then agin, their characters this time around are a little rough around the edges.

I have a few more started, aong with some cool rehearsal shots coming. And I’m back at it (I think) after a couple of days of adverse reactions to a food additive.
