Almost finished with the first batch of cast portraits – good thing because tomorrow I “should” be able to load up on another few. I still gotta figure how to hang a backdrop where the rehearsal is being held. The opening shot here is of Alli Beerman – she was originally billed as a “scullery maid”s daughter” but her red hair got her switched to “prostitute”. The great thing about red hair, as you can see in the picture, is how well it works in b&w (the reason that the majority of female movie stars in the b&w era had red hair).

Next is Caitlyn Shaffstall, playing the "minister’s wife". I loved the fact that she sat down and assumed the appropriate attitude…

Marion (Moxie) Jackson plays Johanna, the Judge’s ward and Anthony’s beloved… 

I do realize that the troupe doesn’t really need me to do these up beyond looking good an inch and a half tall (for the program), but I never pass up a b&w challenge.
