We’ve watched the Broadway version a couple of times now – and are convinced that this cast, very much as in Sweeney Todd, is more in tune with the story line. And it’s so much easier to follow when the characters look the part – in spite of the fact that it is supposed to be adults playing the parts of youths. In the intro shot Oliver and Wayne are ceelebrating while Megan is reacting much differently ( Will, Caleb and Jess).
