Occasionally, mostly on Saturday mornings, the only venue available for rehearsal is the basement of one of the cast members. Terrible lighting, no real vantage points, less room. In a three hour period, I can shoot over eight hundred exposures and wind up keeping less than forty, only to end up using two or three. But then again, it is rehearsal – and I gain much needed familiarity with the show.

The opening shot here shows April, James and Caleb working on their dark-side demeanor. Katie and Melissa are more instructional here than participants – choreographing every move, except James’s leaps, those are on him.
