Slow slogging putting the book together – the best Vaudeville yet, both to experience and for the pictures. While working on Jabberwokie I was reviewing the exposures and couldn’t figure out how I missed this one – right at the intro for the number, Dane reading the spell that launches all the havoc. Lilli really wanted to see this one…

I was so right when I predicted that there would be a large number of unposted images in the book – in most of the numbers. A few I overlooked, while most were simply too difficult and time consuming to work up under time pressure – those darn (expletive deleted) speaker and light boxes lining the front of the stage – 95% of which I do manage to eliminate (don’t ask as to at what cost to the image).

The book / ebook / video should be done by the end of January. In the meantime I’m also working up a few images from Rosie Jack and the Bangtails at the Vandiver in December – the Christmas show. They are always an exercise in lower to no light photography – ranging from ISO 25,600 to 51,200 – with some 2 to 3 stips underexposed even there. Takes a little more stirring of the cauldron at that point to get anything at all.
